WE NEED YOUR SUPPORT!
Gwynn Park is very proud of all of the successful students that have passed through the doors in years past.  We can boast having trained professional athletes in football and basketball, professional entertainers in music and countless professionals in fields from medicine to academia.  Gwynn Park would like to tap into this resource to assist us in better serving our current population.  There are many ways our alumni can assist us in this task, such as:
 
Gwynn Park Alumni, we need you to participate at the Career Day on Wednesday, March 24, 2010.  What better way to inspire students at Gwynn Park HS by giving back and letting them see your success. You can contact the PTSO at events@gwynnparkptso.com or call (240) 676-4026 to lend your voice.
 
Donation of time. Contact us to find out when you can come in and assist the school community with planning projects, testing, administrative assistance, etc.  We can always use a hand from our former stars.
 
Donation of equipment/materials. 
Is your business upgrading your computers, donate to a student? 
Do you have a contact that can provide electronic signage for school, sports uniforms, band uniforms,
instruments or other materials?
 
Speaking Opportunity. Do you have expertise that you would be willing to share with our students?  Come and share that with a single class, a whole day or even the entire school.  We are always looking for inspirational and graduation speakers so contact us today to schedule your appearance.
 
Internship or Opportunity to Earn Community Service Hours. Gwynn Park is always on the lookout for internships or opportunities  for our students to earn community service hours.  If you own a business or are in the position to help, please contact us to set up a relationship that will benefit your business and propel our students forward into college or the working world.
 
Create or Donate to a Scholarship. Please consider donating to the "PTSO Yellow Jacket" Scholarship, a  very worthy scholarship that will  assist our students in accomplishing this transition to two or four-year universities or trade schools.
 
Become a Mentor. Students of all ages at Gwynn Park can benefit from developing a relationship with a professional.  Become a mentor to a single student or a whole class and share your experience and expertise with our young people.
 
Donation of Money. Please consider making a charitable contribution to your former school and PTSO.
